Conjoined twins George and Lori Schappell has defied predictions of a doctor. With half the forehead and one eye stick, they are still able to smile happily celebrate the 50th anniversary.

They mark the happy day with a trip to London. "When we were born, the doctor predicts our age less than 30 years, we learned a lot and we want to continue living," Lori said, as quoted by The Sun.

They survive for 50 years with so many differences. George is originally named Dori decided to live as men. While Lori lived as a woman in a relationship with a man. Lori several times won the bowling championship, while George often appeared as a country singer.

Lori was born with the condition of the body that is able to grow well. While George suffered from spina bifida who kept him in a wheelchair to aid mobility. With a fused head conditions, Lori has always helped George pushed the wheelchair to move together.

"Most people do not believe it, but we have a very normal life," said George. "We could travel, smoothed his own apartment, even had a girlfriend Lori. Nothing can stop us doing what we want."

Their lives are harmonious and mutually supportive. When Lori dating, George would faithfully wait while reading a book. Lori did not hesitate kissing and having sex with their partner. "I lost my virginity at the age of 23 years," said Lori.
